Terms and conditions
Last updated
These terms are the agreement between VizzBox and the organisation that uses it. We've written them as plainly as we can. They're the version for customers outside India, Europe, the UK and the United States, which each have their own version. By creating an account or using VizzBox, you accept them on behalf of your organisation, and you confirm that you're at least 18 and allowed to do that.
"VizzBox", "we" and "us" mean VizzBox. "You" means the organisation that has the account, and the people it invites.
What VizzBox is
VizzBox is software for running digital signage: a portal where you manage screens, content and schedules, and player apps that show your content on screens. It's a service for businesses and organisations, not for personal use.
Your account
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us at support@vizzbox.com if you think someone else has used them.
- The person who creates the organisation is its owner. The owner can invite others and give them roles, and is responsible for what they do in the account.
- Give us accurate details, and keep your email address current so our messages reach you.
The free trial
A new organisation gets a free trial of the Business plan: 15 days, on up to three screens, with no card needed. When the trial ends, your screens pause until you choose a plan. Nothing you've uploaded is deleted when a trial ends.
Plans and payment
- Plans. Starter covers one screen. Business covers three screens, and you can add more at a fixed price per screen. Enterprise is agreed separately. What each plan includes is shown on our website and in the portal.
- Prices. Prices are shown in US dollars and payment is handled by Stripe. Taxes that apply are shown before you pay, or are yours to account for where you are.
- Billing period. You pay monthly, or yearly, where a year costs the same as ten months. Payment is taken at the start of each period.
- Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it.
- Price changes. If we change a plan's price, your subscription keeps the price it started with until you change plans.
- Missed payments. If a payment fails, we'll let you know. If it isn't sorted out, your screens pause until it is. Your content isn't deleted because a payment failed.
Cancellation and refunds
- You can cancel whenever you like from the Billing page in the portal. Your plan keeps running until the end of the period you've paid for, and then it stops renewing.
- We don't refund the unused part of a period you've already paid for, except where the law requires it.
- If we charge you by mistake, for example twice for the same period, tell us at support@vizzbox.com and we'll refund the mistaken charge to the way you paid.
Your content
- Everything you put into VizzBox (pictures, videos, documents, web links, designs and schedules) stays yours.
- You give us permission to store, copy, process and show it, only as needed to run VizzBox for you: for example, to make thumbnails and to send it to your screens.
- You're responsible for having the right to show what you put on your screens, including music, video, photos and fonts, and for making sure it's lawful and accurate, such as prices and offers.
- Don't use VizzBox for content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, is hateful, or misleads people.
Using VizzBox fairly
Please don't:
- try to reach another organisation's data, or get around limits of your plan;
- copy, sell or resell VizzBox, or take it apart to build something that competes with it;
- overload or interfere with the service, or use it to spread malware;
- use it in a way that breaks the law.
Screens, internet and emergency messages
- You're responsible for your screens, player devices, power and internet connection. The players are built to keep playing what they've stored when the internet drops, but they can't play what they never received.
- Screens and players we supply for you are covered by the terms and warranty we agree when we supply them, and by the manufacturer's warranty.
- The emergency message feature is a convenience for showing urgent notices on your screens. It isn't a replacement for fire alarms, public address systems or any safety system the law requires.
Keeping the service running
We work to keep VizzBox available and to fix problems quickly, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted, for example during maintenance or because of something outside our control. We may improve and change the service over time; if we remove something important you pay for, we'll tell you first. Enterprise customers can agree specific service levels with us.
Suspending or closing an account
- We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or hasn't paid, after telling you why where we can. If something puts other customers or the service at risk, we may act first and tell you straight after.
- You can close your organisation at any time from the portal. We keep its data for 30 days in case the closure was a mistake, then delete it. The owner can download a copy of the organisation's data before then.
Our responsibility to you
- We provide VizzBox with reasonable skill and care. Apart from that and what the law requires, we provide it as it is, without other promises.
- We aren't responsible for losses that are indirect, or that we couldn't reasonably have foreseen, such as lost profits or lost business.
- Our total responsibility to you for anything to do with VizzBox is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem happened.
- None of this limits anything the law where you are doesn't allow us to limit.
- If someone makes a claim against us because of content you put on your screens or because you broke these terms, you'll cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top and tell account owners about important changes by email before they take effect. If you keep using VizzBox after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree with them, you can cancel.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If we have a disagreement, let's try to sort it out by talking first: write to support@vizzbox.com. If we can't, the courts of India will decide it, unless the law where you're based requires otherwise.
